AWS/CES is looking for a Cold Former - Header Operator for our automotive manufacturing client in Pottstown, PA Location:Pottstown, PA Shift: 3pm-11pm -$20.40/hr 11pm-7am - $20.45/hr Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Cold Former / Header Operator to support precision manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for operating cold forming equipment, maintaining tooling, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience in machining or equipment operation. Key Responsibilities Safe hookup, operate, and monitor cold formers, wire drawers, and RMG uncoilers Identify good vs. non-conforming parts using measuring tools and visual inspection Inspect parts using micrometers, optical comparators, vision systems, pin gages, overlays, and magnification devices Verify correct raw materials are used during production Troubleshoot, remove, repair, and replace tooling and machine components Detect and report machine issues, defective material, or drawing discrepancies Segregate and document non-conforming product Perform daily preventative maintenance and set process monitors to proper limits Prepare and maintain tooling, including new die setup, die inventory control, and proper storage Track tooling data such as die break, reuse, and variance reports Train team members on machine operation and die maintenance Move materials, scrap, and finished product as required (forklift operation) Maintain organized, clean work area and adhere to 5S and safety standards Participate in continuous improvement activities and team meetings Qualifications & Skills Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills Experience with CNC machines, machining, grinding, or press stamping (cup forming) preferred Mechanical assembly skills Ability to read prints and use precision measuring tools Basic computer skills Math skills for measurements and process settings Send your resume to CESGLOW1
