At Scotts Miracle-Gro, we are integrating our Accounting Center of Excellence (COE) with our Consolidations team to form a new, high-impact unit: RTR & Controls. We are looking for aSenior Financial Analystwho thrives at the intersection of technical accounting and financial systems. You won't just be "running the close"-you will be a primary architect of our global financial data flow. By mastering SAP/S/4HANA, BPC/Group Reporting and RPA automation, you will ensure our consolidated results are accurate, standardized and provide a "single source of truth." What You'll Do in This Role: Orchestrate the Global Close & Consolidation Serve as the "control tower" for the enterprise-wide monthly close process, managing data loads, system logic and validations across SAP/S/4HANA and BPC/Group Reporting. Partner with functional finance leads to resolve close issues, ensuring the completeness and timeliness of results across the enterprise. Manage cross-entity transactions and eliminations. RTR Process Transformation Identify "bottlenecks" in close process workflows and lead the deployment of automation solutions using tools such as UiPath and Winshuttle. Develop and maintain standardized procedures to ensure uniform application of processes and tools across the enterprise. Operate as a reliable shared service partner to deliver accurate, timely financial data while working to standardize accounting processes and finance workflows. System Administration & Data Architecture Act as the functional administrator for our consolidation and close-management technology stack (including BlackLine). Manage the chart of accounts and financial hierarchies to ensure clean, standardized financial data. Financial Assurance & Controls Maintain rigorous internal controls and financial integrity, while proactively redesigning the control framework for future automated workflows. What You'll Need to Be Successful: Technical Core Experience: Progressive experience in corporate accounting, consolidations or public accounting (CPA/CMA a plus). Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. SAP Ecosystem Mastery: Functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO. Direct experience with S/4HANA, BPC, or Group Reporting is a significant advantage. ERP Data Architecture: A firm grasp of how transactional data in an ERP environment flows into a consolidation layer; ability to troubleshoot mapping logic and interface errors. Process Governance: Understanding of the end-to-end RTR lifecycle and the internal controls (SOX) required to maintain financial integrity. Modern Toolset: Proficiency in (or a high desire to master) UiPath, Winshuttle and BlackLine. Enterprise Data Governance: Comfort with structured data environments. Understanding of how to extract, validate and reconcile information across system layers (ERP to consolidation system) while maintaining a "system-first" approach to minimize the risks associated with offline manual data handling. Leadership & Soft Skills The "Optimizer" Mindset: A natural curiosity to look at a legacy process and ask, "How can we make this faster and more accurate through technology?" Communication: The ability to translate complex system and workflow issues into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical partners. Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift during the monthly close cycle. The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $87,600.00 - $103,100.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.For remote roles where the final candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.
