Description Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages leveraging standardized assessments combined with observational insights. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate goals while addressing broader communication, cognition, or swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions targeting communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing efficiency. Work closely in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and other providers to develop holistic care approaches. Provide education for patients and family members to enhance support and progress during off-clinic hours. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment to ensure seamless continuity of patient care throughout their journey. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in adherence to all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within a month of starting. Skills Expertise in evidence-based strategies for diverse age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues. Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Adept at adjusting therapy interventions to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities. Comfortable in using electronic medical records and understanding documentation standards.
