RN - Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Operating Room PRN

Position Details: Location: BayCare Bardmoor Surgery Center, 8787 Bryan Diary Road, Largo, FL 33777 Status: PRN, As-Needed Shift: Variable On Call: No Always in person The Ambulatory Surgery RN responsibilities include: RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned For this position, we require at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred. This is a PRN position that will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Surgery. A minimum of one year of Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred. Experience in Pre-Op and PACU preferred as this role may float to support these areas. Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department Preferred Nurse Specialty Education: Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing Preferred Bachelor's Nursing Experience: Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment. Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
