Position Overview: This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care and leadership within a collaborative healthcare team. The nurse will support patients across all age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds by assessing, planning, and coordinating individualized care plans. Providing both physical and psychosocial support to patients and their families is a key component of this position. Key Responsibilities: Maintain clinical competency and accurately identify patient issues for infants through geriatrics. Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions by adjusting care plans accordingly. Utilize critical thinking to assess data and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Develop, update, and validate nursing care plans daily and as needed. Administer medications following pharmacy and manufacturer guidelines. Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring timely completion of physician orders. Prioritize patient care efficiently while managing stress with professionalism and flexibility. Manage equipment and supplies, keeping the department organized and well-stocked. Accept and adapt to assignment changes, including potential involvement in respiratory, physical, or occupational therapy support. Education and Certification: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Registered Nursing degree. Licensed as a Registered Nurse within the relevant state. BLS (CPR) certification required or to be obtained within three months of hire. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications to be completed within one year; NRP not required for Surgical RN-Advanced roles. For Emergency Room specialization, completion of TNCC is necessary.
