Production Planner / Planning Manager Full-time PositionAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planning Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive production plans that align with company goals and customer demands Utilize ERP systems to manage and optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation Conduct Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) to ensure optimal use of resources and meet production targets Create and analyze complex data sets using Excel pivot tables to support decision-making processes Collaborate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of production activities Monitor production performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives Forecast production needs based on sales projections and market trends Manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring adequate stock for production Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies Lead and mentor a team of production planners, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives to senior management Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in production planning and management Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment Proficiency in ERP systems, with hands-on experience in production modules Strong understanding and practical application of Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) techniques Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze complex pivot tables Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiency Preferred: BA/BS degree in applicable field required Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies Familiarity with advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements Key Skills and Competencies Strategic thinking and long-term planning abilities Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
