Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate the clinical operations of a Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States. This role involves overseeing patient care services, managing fiscal and human resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise clinical operations to deliver high-quality patient care. Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service provision. Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams. Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among patients, families, and care providers. Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources. Maintain compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Ensure adequate staffing levels and staff competency in equipment use. Participate in performance improvement and quality control initiatives. Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for staff. Assist in budget development and resource allocation. Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes. Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing. Experience Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to the management area and at least 1 year of management or related experience. Requirements Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of budgets, staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with Nurse Practice Act and age-specific patient care needs. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and occasionally assist with heavy lifting. Willingness to work variable shifts as needed.
