Purple Unicorn is hiring an Arts & Culture Coordinator on behalf of the Mandel JCCJob Title: Arts & Culture Coordinator (Full-Time, Salaried)Location: Please note that this position is primarily at the Palm Beach Gardens location for the Mandel JCC. However it will require travel to their Boynton Beach location one day a week. On occasion, possibly more than one day a week.Position Summary The Arts & Culture Coordinator is a full-time, salaried position that works closely with the Arts & Culture Director to support, coordinate, and implement a wide range of cultural, educational, and community engagement programming at the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches. This role supports year-round Arts & Culture initiatives including author talks, film screenings, lectures, recitals, leadership-based programming, community service initiatives, and all components of the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival. The position plays a key role in cultivating engagement, mentorship, and leadership opportunities within the community while ensuring high-quality program execution and member experience. The position requires flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and off-site events. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesArts, Culture & Program Operations Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing year-round Arts & Culture programming, including author events, film screenings, lectures, recitals, workshops, Adult Programming including card games and Timely Topics, and special programs Support all operational aspects of the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival, including logistics, volunteer coordination, hospitality, vendors, and off-site screenings Coordinate hospitality for speakers and guests, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and on-site needs Prepare event materials, signage, slides, run-of-show documents, and volunteer materials Schedule rooms, manage Zoom meetings, and oversee event check-in for on-site and virtual programs Enter programs into community calendars and assist with marketing distribution across JCC locations Community Engagement & Leadership Programming Coordinate engagement-based programming that fosters development, community connection, and participation Support service-oriented initiatives, enrichment programs, and donor appreciation programs with Arts & Culture goals Serve as a liaison between participants, families, faculty, artists, and community partners Collaborate with other departments to support cross-departmental programming and shared audiences Evaluate programs regularly and implement improvements based on participation trends and feedback Member Relations & Registration Answer phones and emails with exemplary customer service to members and community members Assist with program registrations, including phone registrations and troubleshooting technical issues Communicate with high-level members regarding upcoming events and engagement opportunities Act as a point of contact for Film and Literary Society engagement and renewals Maintain accurate participant, member, and donor tracking spreadsheets Assist in securing community sponsors for arts and culture events Marketing & Communications Write engaging social media copy for Arts & Culture programs and events Assist in promoting programs via email, social platforms, event slideshows, and community groups Ensure both JCC locations are stocked with current Arts & Culture marketing materials Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Prepare invoices, payment requests, and process check/cash drops as needed Assist with vendor relations, including acquiring quotes and coordinating logistics Ensure appropriate recognition of members, donors, and sponsors in programs and materials Maintain records in adherence to grant specifications Committees & Meetings Coordinate Book Festival and Film Festival committee meetings Manage meeting logistics, RSVPs, agendas, and minutes Attend meetings and distribute follow-up materials Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered Minimum 3+ years experience in program coordination, arts and culture programming, or community engagement Strong written and verbal communication skills Passion for Jewish culture, learning, and community life Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working independently and collaboratively Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, and virtual platforms Reliable transportation and ability to work across JCC locations and off-site events Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required Why Join the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches?
