Aerospace Manufacturing Lead CNC Lathe Machinist

Position Title: Lead CNC Lathe Machinist Department: CNC Lathe Job Summary: Pressco Products is a manufacturing and machining company that produces quality machined parts, stamping, fabrication, and assembly of components for the aerospace and defense industries. With its rich 60-year history and new long-term contracts, Pressco is looking for a few key individuals who want to be a part of its continued growth and stability. This job will focus on leading the CNC Lathe department and machining quality parts. Job Duties and Essential Functions: Set up and run 2-axis and multi-axis CNC Lathes with sub-spindle Oversee and manage the production team of 1-3 employees over two shifts and the day-to-day production schedule for their department Assist and monitor the department for efficiency, quality, and accuracy Ensure all machines are running and producing quality parts Organize and plan proper fixturing and tooling for the work order Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools, answer questions, and suggest improvements Maintain great communication with programming, tooling, production scheduler, and general manager Keep a clean and safe work environment Basic CNC Lathe Programming (MasterCAM) Updating Set-Up sheets Oversee labor tickets, time cards (attendance), and paperwork/work orders are accurately submitted Requirements Essential Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of Machine Shop Lead experience 5+ years CNC Lathe machining experience Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking Good work ethic and positive attitude, team player, leads by example Excellent attendance and time management Standing and sitting for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening. Must be fluent in English. US Citizen High School Diploma or GED Compensation is dependent on experience and is evaluated regularly based on merit and performance. Wage range $30.00 - $40.00 per hour.
