Maintenance Facility Technician 1

Our employees are the cornerstone of our success, and we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. We are hiring for a first shift Maintenance Facility Technician 1. The maintenance facility technician 1 must be proficient in maintaining the mechanical aspect of the facility. i.e., HVAC belts & filters, dock locks, dock levelers, safety gates, floor repair, general lighting, drywall repair, door repair, general facility repair, and assistance on production equipment-related issues. They should understand the fire system and where alarm points are throughout the facility. Responsibilities/Principal Duties: o Will be assigned work in the Preventive Maintenance, Projects, and Facility equipment repairs as required. o Will need to complete work assignments in the Maintenance "work order/ PM" system. o Will work in a safe guarded manner for his/ her safety and the safety of all others. They will follow all LOTO rules of Clopay and adhere to instructions from other Maintenance employees. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, maintained, and orderly condition. o Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures. Report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel. o Perform other job-related duties and activities as needed. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: o Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. o Mechanical and Carpenter skills o Low voltage electrical knowledge o HVAC equipment knowledge o Boilers, Chillers, and Compressed Air equipment o Proficient Microsoft Office skills o Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity. o Ability to work effectively as part of a work team. o Close, distance, and peripheral vision. o Ability to discern colors and adjust focus. Qualifications: a) Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent b) Experience: Construction and Maintenance experience c) Licenses/Certification: HVAC, Boilers, Plumbing, Electrical are a bonus
