As a Speech Language Pathologist in the picturesque surroundings of Scottsdale, your work goes beyond the confines of mere therapy; it empowers individuals to find their voice, regain confidence, and forge meaningful connections. From playful toddlers discovering their first words to wise seniors reclaiming their abilities, you will be at the heart of their journeys. This position presents a stimulating opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients throughout their life stages, effortlessly merging outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in nurturing the language skills of children, addressing adult neurogenic communication problems, or aiding seniors in cognitive-linguistic recovery, you will discover fulfillment and variety in this enriching role. Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing established assessments and observational methods. Create customized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation. Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans. Provide education to patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical appointments. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring smooth transitions across care settings. Uphold accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in continuous learning through professional development opportunities and peer interactions. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based approaches to treatment for all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. An innovative approach to adapting therapy techniques to cater to a wide array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capabilities. Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and documentation standards. Benefits Competitive salary reflective of experience. Flexible scheduling that promotes a healthy work-life balance with diverse patient caseloads. Potential for specialization in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Support for continuing education reimbursement and career advancement endeavors. A collaborative, team-focused workplace dedicated to high-quality care and continuous improvement. A Career That Enthralls and Enriches In this role, you won't simply facilitate speech therapy - you'll engage in a mission that celebrates the power of conversation, fosters connections, and spreads joy through the purest of human gestures: communication. You will collaborate with colleagues who value one another as family, working in an environment that cherishes teamwork and unity over competition. Every patient who walks through your door has their unique narrative, and you will be entrusted to help shape and articulate their stories. Why You'll Adore Living and Working Here Scottsdale offers a captivating lifestyle that combines the beauty of the desert with cultural richness and boundless opportunity. This vibrant community, nestled against the majestic backdrop of the McDowell Mountains, is perfect for individuals who desire a harmonious blend of outdoor adventure, artistic expression, and career growth. Families blissfully picnic in sprawling parks while nature enthusiasts seek thrilling hikes along rugged trails, exploring the striking landscapes. Food lovers can delight in everything from gourmet cuisine at upscale restaurants to handcrafted delights at local farmers markets and eateries. The area buzzes with artistic energy, seen in its captivating galleries, heard in the live music pouring from local venues, and felt at year-round festivals that bring together diverse communities. For professionals, the advantages extend beyond lifestyle: enjoy no state income tax, manageable living costs, and a thriving healthcare landscape that supports your career aspirations. Regardless of whether you are just starting your career or are an experienced therapist seeking a new adventure, this area is a place where you can flourish both personally and professionally. Who We're Looking For We invite applications from a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated by both measurable outcomes and heartfelt connections. Someone who envisions the possibilities for a reserved child, hears the words of those ready to thrive again, and believes in the power of a smile to foster progress. You may specialize in pediatrics eager to expand your adult therapeutic repertoire or possess experience in neuro rehabilitation, with a yearning to integrate early intervention in your practice. Whatever your specialty or ambition, if you are ready to bring compassion and skill to your practice, we are excited to meet you. Let's Build Meaningful Connections - Together If you understand that speech is more than air passing through vocal cords and that therapy involves nurture and trust as much as tasks and exercises - if you believe laughter is an integral part of recovery and communication - then this may be the next chapter of your career adventure. Join us in a community that empowers dialogue, connection, and the courageous journey of finding one's voice. Apply today and lend your expertise to our team - helping others to express their truest selves.
