Primary Job Title:Mechanical AssemblerAlternate / Related Job Titles: Production Technician - Mechanical Industrial Mechanical Assembler Panelboard Assembly Technician Manufacturing Assembly Technician Location & Onsite Flexibility:La Vergne, TN - Onsite Local Candidates Only: Must reside within 50 miles of the work location (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic restriction) Contract Details:Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: Approximately 4 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Schedule: Onsite; must be willing to work overtime before/after shifts and weekendsPosition Overview: The Production Technician - Mechanical Assembler supports the assembly of engineered-to-order industrial equipment, performing complex mechanical and electrical assembly tasks outside of standard mass-production processes. This role is ideal for candidates with heavy industrial assembly experience who enjoy building customized products to specification. The position requires strong hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications using electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Fit, mount, and assemble sub-assemblies, components, and fixed assemblies Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection Inspect and test finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards Use hand and power tools (wire strippers, pliers, etc.) for mechanical and electrical assembly Maintain expected production progress and communicate part shortages or issues Receive, stage, and put away materials; prepare finished products for shipment Support Lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and 5S standards Cross-train and flex across functions based on business needs Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per safety and quality guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in an assembly-related role using hand and/or power tools (Automotive repair, construction, carpentry, or similar environments considered) Strong preference for heavy industrial assembly experience Experience with engineered-to-order manufacturing strongly preferred Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required Ability to meet quantity and perfect quality requirements consistently Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Company: An intelligent power management company focused on sustainability and improving quality of life.
