Description Conduct assessments across all age groups, employing both standardized tools and careful observational strategies. Craft individualized treatment regimens suitable for immediate objectives and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Engage in tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families for comprehensive patient care. Provide education to patients and families to enhance their understanding and support progress beyond the clinic. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the therapeutic journey. Keep detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Stay informed on the latest innovations in the field through continuous education and peer discussions. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of hiring. Skills Proficient in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired communication, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adaptive therapy techniques that consider varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
