Senior Chiller TechnicianNationwide HVAC Rental Provider (via Precision Hire)Precision Hire has partnered with a nationwide HVAC rental company operating 30+ branches across the U.S., providing best-in-class cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for mission-critical facilities, major events, healthcare, data centers, and industrial applications. We are seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to serve as the technical authority at the branch level and the go-to expert for chiller maintenance, testing, and repairs within the company's owned rental fleet. This is not a building service role. You will work out of the branch and on temporary rental installations-not on permanent HVAC systems inside customer buildings. What You'll Do Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of large-tonnage chillers and air-conditioning rental equipment Serve as the primary technical expert for chillers at the branch Support temporary installations at customer sites (data centers, healthcare, events, industrial facilities) Perform pre-deployment inspections and post-rental evaluations Assist with special projects, including obsolete part sourcing and equipment upgrades Support fleet modernization initiatives (including remote monitoring systems) Mentor and train junior chiller and service technicians Collaborate with operations and turnkey installation teams Maintain accurate service documentation and reports What We're Looking For 5-7+ years of hands-on experience with large-tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment Universal EPA Certification (required) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on complex systems Proven ability to work independently and lead by example Willingness to travel occasionally and support on-call rotations Comfortable using service software, ERP systems, and basic reporting tools Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely Schedule & Work Environment Flexible work hours depending on project needs Rotating on-call schedule (evenings/weekends during peak seasons) Overtime and double-time pay where applicable Branch-based role with temporary field support (not building maintenance) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay with bonus opportunities Company vehicle Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick time) Career advancement and leadership opportunities Strong support, tools, and training Why This Role Stands Out If you're a true chiller professional who enjoys owning the technical standard, mentoring others, and working on diverse, high-impact temporary projects-this is a role where your expertise will be valued and visible.
