Ultrasound Technologist - Per DiemLocation: La Palma Intercommunity Hospital (LPIH) - California Department: Diagnostic Radiology - Ultrasound Schedule: As Needed | No on-call required Start Date: ASAP Note: Weekly shifts are not guaranteed Position Overview The Ultrasound Technologist (Per Diem) performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and care. This position supports the Radiology Department on an as-needed basis and does not require on-call availability. Responsibilities Perform general and specialized ultrasound procedures. Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally. Ensure high-quality image capture for interpretation. Follow hospital and radiology safety protocols. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment effectively. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal imaging support. Qualifications Active RDMS or ARRT(S) certification - required. Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program - required. Minimum 1 year of sonography experience - preferred. BLS certification - required and must be maintained. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
