Below mentioned is the job description for your reference: Job Title Financial Administrative Representative Location: Los Angeles, CA 90017 Duration: 13 weeks / 3 Months Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:30) Position Summary: The Patient Registration Representative II is responsible for all aspects of pre-registration and registration for both inpatients and outpatients. This includes accurately collecting patient information, verifying insurance, and securing upfront payments like co-pays and co-insurance. The role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and a patient-first approach, requiring the individual to serve as a positive role model. This position also involves continuous learning and development of skills related to financial counseling and other departmental roles within PIH Health. The Patient Registration Rep II will build upon their registration expertise and acquire fundamental financial counseling abilities, including knowledge of the various financial assistance programs offered by PIH Health. Required Skills and Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office setting with strong computer and customer service skills. High school graduate or equivalent. Driver's License and the ability to travel to off-site locations (for Outpatient roles only). Completion of the HPE comprehensive training program. Strong typing skills with a minimum of 40 words per minute. LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (for PIHGS locations only). Core Responsibilities: Perform patient pre-registration and registration Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and provide cost estimates Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in patient records Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times Assist with financial counseling and educate patients on payment options Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, physicians, and staff Demonstrate flexibility and multitasking in a fast-paced environment Participate in training programs and continuous skill development Serve as a representative of PIH Health's mission and values
