Job Description Aerospace Design Engineer - GTF Engine Rotors Specialist Job Title: Design Engineer - Experienced Location: East Hartford, Connecticut Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications) Company Overview Cyient is a global leader in engineering and technology solutions, empowering businesses across diverse industries. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Design Engineer - GTF Engine Rotors Specialist to support gas turbine rotor component design, repair development, and structural analysis activities. This role requires deep technical expertise in aerospace engine components, strong GD&T proficiency, and experience working with Pratt & Whitney programs. Key Responsibilities Develop and manipulate complex 3D solid models to support engineering design and analysis activities. Create detailed inspection and repair markups, including technical comments and graphical annotations to support structural assessments. Assist in the development of comprehensive technical documentation outlining engineering repair requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to drive timely and successful project execution. Review, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, technical specifications, and repair standards. Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering design and analysis. Direct experience supporting Pratt & Whitney aerospace programs. Strong expertise in interpreting repair requirements, technical specifications, and part blueprints. Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). In-depth understanding of gas turbine engine operating principles, specifically rotor systems. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise engineering documentation. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Experience with standard operating procedures, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing methodologies. Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations. Must comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) requirements. Preferred Qualifications (Optional but Beneficial) Experience with GTF engine rotor hardware. Familiarity with aerospace repair substantiation and structural analysis processes. Experience working in regulated aerospace environments.
