Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer - APQP Location: Onsite - Lafayette, IN (Manufacturing Facility) Duration: 12-Month Contract Schedule: Mon-Fri | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Bill Rate: Up to $61/hr Travel: Pay Rate - $43/hr on W2/Danta Technologies payrollAbout the Role Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer - APQP to support major capital investments at its Large Engine manufacturing facility in Lafayette, IN. This role is critical to building world-class manufacturing processes, ensuring quality readiness, and mitigating risk for new and expanding production programs. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate APQP documentation: Process Flow Diagrams PFMEAs Control Plans PPAP Independently plan and lead APQP readiness reviews Track and drive PFMEA actions to closure Develop or review process capability and MSA studies Partner cross-functionally with: Manufacturing Engineering Metrology / CMM teams Metallurgical testing Capital project teams Prepare formal documentation and present updates to stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 8-10 years Quality Engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with APQP methodologies Proven ability to lead cross-functional meetings Comfortable working inside a factory environment Strong documentation and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications Automotive or heavy manufacturing background Experience supporting capital investment programs Familiarity with engine or large equipment manufacturing Notes:- All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, religious creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by local law, regulation, or ordinance.
