Yard Hostler

Job Title: Yard Hostler / Forklift / Dock Worker Job Summary Seeking a reliable Yard Hostler / Forklift / Dock Worker to support yard and dock operations Role includes trailer movement, forklift operation, and general dock work Starting pay: $18.00 per hour plus overtime on busy days Afternoon and evening shifts Key Responsibilities Move, spot, and park 53 ft trailers in yard and dock doors Hook up and disconnect trailers safely Back trailers into dock doors accurately Operate forklift to load and unload pallets from trailers and dock Assist with labeling, palletizing, and loading pallets into trailers Work closely with dock team members to maintain efficient operations Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean Shift Schedule Yard Hostler: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM Forklift Operations: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM Dock Work / Team Support: 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM-11:00 PM Required Qualifications 6-12 months experience driving a semi-truck in a yard or dock environment Experience hooking up and moving 53 ft trailers Ability to back trailers into dock doors and park in yard areas Forklift experience or willingness to be trained No Class A license required Ability to work evenings and overtime as needed Strong teamwork and communication skills Preferred Skills Prior dock or warehouse experience Experience with palletizing and labeling Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
