Company Description: We are partnered with a dynamic manufacturing company known for its precision machining and fabrication. They are on the lookout for a skilled CNC Machining Specialist with extensive experience in CNC operations, especially with lathes. Position Overview: As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will be integral to the production of high-quality machined components across diverse industries including aerospace, automotive, and medical devices, all of which demand tight tolerances. Your main responsibilities will include setting up and operating CNC machines (Mills & Lathes), reading blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and utilizing precision measurement tools to guarantee the accuracy of products. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing our operational success. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and edit as needed Fanuc-controlled CNC Mills & Lathes in compliance with production requirements. Work on 2 to 4 axis machines. Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure precise component machining. Upload programs and adjust machine parameters (G&M code edits) as necessary. Select and install suitable tooling while making necessary offsets. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) using tools such as Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometers, Bore micrometers, Depth micrometers, and Optical Comparators to meet specifications. Monitor and uphold quality control standards throughout the machining process. Maintain a clean and organized working environment. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining. At least 3 years of experience specifically in setting up and operating CNC machines. Strong skills in reading blueprints. Ability to read and interpret G & M codes, particularly in Fanuc controlled systems. Familiarity with tool selection, setup, and offsets. Proficient in using metrology tools; experience with operating a CMM is an advantage! Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. Strong problem-solving capabilities and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player. A safety-first approach to work.
