Slack IT Engineer About the Role We're looking for a Slack IT Engineer with deep expertise in Slack administration, automation, and API development to strengthen collaboration and productivity across our enterprise. You'll manage Slack at scale, design secure and compliant solutions, and build AI-driven automation that streamlines how teams work. This role partners closely with IT, security, and engineering teams to maintain a robust Slack ecosystem, integrate Slack with enterprise systems, and ensure alignment with organizational policies and standards. Responsibilities Administer and optimize Slack for a large enterprise environment, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence. Develop and maintain governance frameworks for Slack workspaces, channels, and enterprise policies. Build automation using Slack APIs, bots, workflows, and AI-driven solutions to improve collaboration and efficiency. Integrate Slack with internal applications, third-party tools, and enterprise systems. Partner with IT, security, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure Slack solutions. Lead cross-functional initiatives from design through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Stay current on emerging trends in collaboration platforms, AI automation, and Slack development best practices. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience administering Slack in an enterprise environment, including security, compliance, and governance. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) with strong API development and integration skills. Experience implementing agent-based automation and AI-driven workflows within Slack. Strong understanding of API design principles and enterprise application integration. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, strategic thinking, and a track record of driving innovation in collaboration technologies. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience building AI-driven automation in Slack. Familiarity with enterprise IT security, compliance frameworks, and collaboration tool governance.
