Primary Job Title: L3 Support Technician - Deskside Alternate Job Titles: Level 3 IT Support Technician Infrastructure Support Analyst (L3) Enterprise Systems Support Engineer Network & Infrastructure Support Specialist Location: Buffalo, West Virginia Onsite PositionPosition DetailsPosition Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Job Summary The L3 Support Tech - Deskside provides advanced infrastructure and enterprise-level support across manufacturing and logistics environments. This role supports automation technologies, robotics integrations (AMR/AGV/VGV), and IT infrastructure operations, ensuring high availability and performance across plant systems. The position requires expertise in operating systems, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting, serving as a senior escalation point for production and L2 support teams. Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Operations Perform pre-shift checks across servers, storage, network, ICS, and plant systems Provide Smart Hands support for server/network installs, refreshes, and break/fix Support preventative maintenance for power and HVAC systems Conduct plant floor and data center infrastructure checks Monitor ANDON systems and network monitoring tools (PRTG, DNAC, SCOM, Nagios, SYSMON) Monitor communication channels for incidents impacting production Network, Power & Cabling Support Coordinate installation and troubleshooting of network drops and power connections Perform telecom room inspections and hardware readiness checks Execute switch installations, port activations, and hot swap operations Conduct wireless network audits and remediation activities Administration & User Support Provide L3 escalation support for L2 Production Support and 1TS incidents Manage user administration and file/folder access Conduct IT equipment inventory audits Support Priority Service Restoration Bridges and countermeasure implementation Vendor & Site Coordination Escort vendors within secure data center and production areas Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and incident response with third parties Provide onsite support for INCs and CTASKs requiring hands-on troubleshooting Documentation & Compliance Develop and standardize L3 documentation and processes Submit 1TS RFCs for site activities Ensure review and approval from senior analysts Project & On-Call Support Support infrastructure deployments, server rack configurations, and upgrades Provide support during plant shutdowns and non-production windows Serve as first point of contact for P1-P3 incidents Follow established escalation and incident response procedures Required Qualifications Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems Proficiency in OSI model and TCP/IP protocols Network administration experience Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and end-user devices Ability to troubleshoot at networking and infrastructure layers Strong documentation and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting robotics technologies (AMR/AGV/VGV) Experience integrating COTS products into enterprise IT environments Knowledge of fleet management systems Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments Work Environment Onsite role in Buffalo, WV Manufacturing and data center environment On-call rotation and after-hours support required Support for mission-critical production systems Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About GTT GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
