AnnieMac Home Mortgage is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Consultant dedicated to establishing essential referral relationships and driving a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources. If you have a background in the Mortgage Industry and are eager to help clients realize their homeownership dreams, we would love to connect with you! Your main focus will be to sell mortgage loans directly to customers in the field, utilizing our office resources as needed for support. You will actively seek new business by building strong relationships with realtors, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, accountants, and other relevant professionals. Engagement in mortgage sales activities is key, which includes attending closings, open houses, and hosting seminars to attract leads. Collect borrower information and accurately complete loan applications to streamline the process. Establishing and maintaining strong connections with referral partners will be vital for acquiring new customers. Evaluate prospective borrowers' income and debt to pre-qualify them for the best possible mortgage options. Guide borrowers through the entire home buying and financing journey, explaining various loan products and how costs and payments can differ. Gather necessary financial documentation, such as tax returns and bank statements, to support the application process effectively. Provide essential disclosures to borrowers, including truth in lending and good faith estimates, ensuring they understand the terms. Assist borrowers in identifying and resolving any credit concerns to facilitate a smooth transaction. Maintain regular communication with borrowers, realtors, and lenders, keeping them informed on application status and any required documentation. Order and review necessary legal documents, including HUDs, before the closing process. A valid state license or certificate is required (requirements may differ by state). A well-rounded knowledge of pricing and underwriting standards for various mortgage insurance companies is crucial. You should possess a solid grasp of credit underwriting and property eligibility for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors. Familiarity with relevant local, state, and national laws, such as zoning ordinances, Truth-in-Lending, RESPA, and energy audit requirements, is essential. Exceptional communication skills and the aptitude to analyze financial information are crucial for success. We are looking for a self-starter with a strong sales-driven mindset. Work Environment/Physical Demands: This position entails approximately 80% travel.
