Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCUDS, LLCis hiring 1099 Cable Technicians in the Richmond, VA area and surrounding markets to service Comcast-Xfinity customers (Internet, Video, and Phone).Work Type: 1099 independent contractor (piece-rate per completed job)Typical Service Window:8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (dispatch/route varies by volume)Service Area:Richmond and surrounding areas (local routes; occasional extended drives may be required based on volume)Earnings:Piece-rate pay with typical weekly earnings around $1,000+ for competent techs; highly skilled techs often reach $1,500+ (varies by volume, performance, and metrics).Pay Schedule:Paid weekly ; work is paid Net-21 after approvals/closeout.This is a physical, field-based role. You must be able to work in all weather, lift/carry and climb with a 28’ cable-approved ladder (V-ring and hooks required) , and work in attics and crawl spaces. Strong customer service is required—Cox technicians are scored on quality/customer experience metrics (quality control, repeat rates, timeliness, and customer experience) and must maintain monthly compliance. We provide coaching and support to help techs succeed.Preferred: Techs come ready with their own truck and tools , but assistance is available when needed.Training Available: Up to 3 weeks (entry-level applicants encouraged). Expect ~6 months to reach experienced-tech productivity and earnings—success is driven by repeatable quality work and strong metrics.Contractor Insurance Required: All 1099 techs must carry General Liability + Workers’ Comp.
