Physical Therapist Assistant- Permanent RoleLocation: Watertown, NY 13601 Schedule: Monday - Friday (No Weekends or Major Holidays) Pay Range: $22.77/hr - $36.43 hr Position Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the on-site supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide quality rehabilitative care to patients, residents, and registrants. The PTA implements treatment plans using exercises, physical therapy modalities, and functional training techniques to help patients restore mobility and improve overall physical function. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Administer therapeutic exercises, physical therapy modalities, and training for functional activities. Document all treatments accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and ongoing care plans. Participate actively in developing, implementing, and modifying patient treatment plans. Maintain communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure all safety, infection control, and quality care standards are met. Required Requirements: Graduation from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program. Successful completion of all required PTA student internships. New York State registration and certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
