About the Job: This position is located in the Mortgage Servicing Division of SC Housing. In this role, you will work under limited supervision of the Cashiering & REO Manager, supporting the daily operations of SC Housing's new loan set up. This is an important role that ensures new loans are properly boarded. The incumbent will serve as a secondary contact for new loan customers and will provide prompt, courteous customer service. Your duties will include: Ensuring the timely and accurate loading of SC Housing loans. Auditing for program compliance and accurate boarding of loans. Ensuring receipt of initial funds for first mortgages, sending Welcome Letters, and ensuring the NLSU checklist is compatible for AOD. Being responsible for new loan package review and the quality control checklist to ensure timely submission and compliance of servicing packages from lenders. Completing various administrative duties, to include but not limited to, new payee requests, name/address updates, third party authorizations, and SSI. Creating new desk top procedures for new loan set up for AOD and help cross-train a backup for the NLSU process. Providing coverage/answering calls for the pay-by-phone line and processing borrower payments in the Cashier app. Performing follow-up to ensure Hazard Insurance policies for new borrowers list SC Housing as the Mortgagee. Assisting as required with HUD servicing audits. Minimum and Additional RequirementsAgency Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, management or a related field. OR An associate's degree and two (2) years of full-time, relevant experience. OR A high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of full-time, relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet the agency's minimum requirements. (i.e. 1 year of education = 1 year of related experience) Additional Requirements: Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and process time sensitive materials in a fast-paced environment. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to write letters and other business-related correspondence that are professional in appearance and content. Have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to program requirements. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, coworkers, and external customers. Current, relevant Knowledge of personal computers, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Ability to maintain organized, accurate, and updated files. Must be able to lift and carry files, books and reports weighing up to 20 lbs. Must be able to perform filing, desk work and operate general office equipment. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged or intermittent periods of time while sharing, gathering or presenting information to other staff members or external parties.
