Home Daily Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver Immediate opening for a Home Daily Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver and we want the right driver to join us at Ryder in Detroit, MI. $1350 or more per week per driver - And it gets better. Driver positions pay weekly. Daily pay: $112.55 per day. Solo miles pay: $0.44 per mile with 500 miles per week. Solo stops pay: $9.08 per stop with 55 stops per week. Tenure bonus: pays you $300 four times a year, every quarter. Loyalty bonus: pays you $1500 at 6 months and $1500 at 1 year. Schedule: Monday Friday, NO WEEKENDS. Start time: 6:00 AM. Deliver SOLO to Metro Detroit area. Route: Local home daily. Tractor type: Day cab. We accept automatic restrictions. Trailer type: 48' & 53' flatbed. Some flatbed experience preferred. Freight: Load securement - strapping & tarping in wet weather. Freight: Steel & metal products. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Questions? Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Must have class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards. Maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer. Performs other duties as assigned.
