Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for individuals spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and hands-on observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care strategies. Equip patients and families with practical education and tools to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery journey. Maintain precise and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain committed to professional growth by engaging in continuing education and collaborative practices with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in evidence-based methodologies across all ages, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Adept at modifying therapeutic techniques to address diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving expertise.
