Position Summary Mackin is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors and Inspector Supervisors (TCI/TCIS) for roadway and bridge construction projects in the Pittsburgh area. Positions are available for multiple experience levels, from entry-level inspectors to senior inspectors and supervisors. Key Responsibilities Perform roadway and bridge construction inspections per plans, specifications, and contracts Inspect grading, excavation, drainage, asphalt, concrete, structures, traffic control, and signage Monitor contractor progress and ensure quality, safety, and compliance Conduct field measurements, testing, and material sampling Prepare daily reports and maintain construction documentation Communicate with contractors, engineers, and project teams Supervise and mentor inspectors (supervisory levels) Qualification High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred 1-5+ years of construction inspection experience, depending on level Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, municipal, or utility projects preferred Ability to read construction plans and specifications Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Deltek Ajera a plus Valid driver's license and ability to travel Certifications preferred (level dependent): NECEPT, PennDOT Concrete/ACI, NICET Highway Construction, Nuclear Density Gauge, EIT/FE, PE, CDS NextGen Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match & profit sharing PTO, paid holidays, parental & bereavement leave Tuition and certification reimbursement Life, disability, pet, and supplemental insurance options Employee Assistance Program
