Restaurant General Manager

Description As the Restaurant General Manager, you will have the primary responsibility for leading the overall operations and success of a Jalapeño Tree restaurant. Your focus will be on maintaining top-notch quality, exceptional service, cleanliness, and fostering team development. This role encompasses supervision of both front and back-of-house operations, managing labor schedules, handling inventory, and overseeing financial performance. You will strive to enhance guest satisfaction, ensure consistent delivery of Crazy Good Mexican Food, and cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Key responsibilities include training and developing both managerial and hourly staff, upholding food safety and sanitation regulations, resolving guest concerns, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining adherence to brand standards. All newly appointed managers will undergo initial training at the Jalapeño Tree location in Tyler, TX, before they take on their designated restaurant responsibilities. Requirements Experience & Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience as a General Manager or a strong Assistant Manager in a full-service or fast-paced restaurant environment High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license Must be 21 years of age or older Skills & Traits: Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities Outstanding communication and guest service skills Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and P&L oversight Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Physical Requirements: Able to stand, walk, bend, and move quickly for extended durations Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various temperature conditions Willing to work 50-55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation (1 week after 6 months) 401(k) Employee Retirement Plan Competitive salary with an attractive bonus structure Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement
