What You'll Be Doing: As a Backend Software Engineer, you will: Develop the Auth Intel AI product, leveraging Scala to tackle a variety of challenges across the software stack, including real-time data ingestion, distributed computing, machine-learning algorithms for automated model development, and API development for user-friendly data modeling and analysis. Manage the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing design, development, testing, and production operations. Architect solutions focused on achieving high reliability, scalability, and security. Engage in effective communication with fellow engineers, other teams, and stakeholders such as product managers. Work within an Agile development framework. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of production software development experience in C++, Java, Scala, or a modern variant. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Docker, WSL, or other local container solutions. Proficient in architecting and building scalable distributed systems. Experience in developing cloud-native applications, whether on public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure) or private cloud environments. Strong knowledge of Linux OS and familiarity with Ubuntu. Expertise in designing and implementing well-structured APIs within a service-oriented architecture. Solid understanding of SQL. Awareness of software security best practices. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment frameworks. A knack for creatively solving complex problems is preferred. Prior experience in healthcare, particularly focusing on claims and prior authorization data, is preferred. The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000, with eligibility for a bonus based on predefined performance criteria.
