Low Voltage Network Design EngineerSolutionz, Inc.Role OverviewThe Low Voltage Network Design Engineer supports Solutionz' technology design projects by producing construction-ready drawings and specifications for enterprise AV, unified communications, data center, and electronic security systems. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and end-users to translate business and technical requirements into buildable designs for mission-critical and enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the design and documentation of small to large-scale low voltage technology projects across enterprise, data center, government, healthcare, and commercial environmentsPerform design calculations, system layouts, and technical evaluations for:Structured cabling and telecommunications systemsAudio-visual and collaboration systemsElectronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion)Produce complete design deliverables including drawings, design narratives, and specificationsReview contractor shop drawings and submittals; respond to RFIs and support construction administrationConduct site walks and field verification as neededResearch products, standards, and best practices to support design decisionsPrepare meeting notes, reports, and technical documentationCoordinate directly with Architects, Engineers, Owners, and internal Solutionz delivery teamsManage workload and priorities under the direction of the Design ManagerTravel domestically (and occasionally internationally) to support client projectsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field preferredRCDD certification preferred; willingness and ability to obtain RCDD required5+ years of low voltage systems design experience, including:Structured cabling / telecommunicationsAV and collaboration systemsElectronic security systemsStrong working knowledge of TIA standards and industry best practicesExperience supporting projects in data centers, government, healthcare, aviation, or advanced technology environments is a plusProficient in Revit and AutoCAD for construction documentationWorking knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentComfortable interfacing with clients and presenting technical concepts clearlySelf-directed, detail-oriented, and collaborativeWillingness to travel to project sites and client meetingsU.S. Citizenship and valid driver's license required (due to client and site access requirements)Why SolutionzWork on complex, high-profile enterprise and mission-critical technology projectsExposure to advanced technologies across AV, UC, data centers, and securityClear growth path into Senior Design Engineer or Technical Lead rolesCollaborative design + delivery model with strong project ownership
