This role involves supervising students, assisting with meal service, maintaining order, and ensuring that cafeteria guidelines are followed. Key Responsibilities: Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods to ensure safety and appropriate behavior. Assist students with opening containers, distributing utensils, napkins, condiments, or trays as needed. Help monitor the flow of students entering and exiting the cafeteria. Promote good manners, respect, and cleanliness among students. Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other surfaces between lunch periods. Assist in sorting and disposing of trash, recycling, and food waste properly. Report any accidents, injuries, or disciplinary concerns to appropriate staff. Support other lunchroom or recess staff as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working with children (e.g., in a school, daycare, or youth program) is a plus. Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow school policies and procedures. Work Environment: Fast-paced cafeteria or lunchroom setting. Interaction with students, staff, and sometimes parents. Requires moderate physical activity, including bending, lifting, and cleaning.
