We are currently looking for a Senior Data Protection Specialist to join our Managed Services practice. Responsibilities Assist clients in designing, deploying, and managing technology and processes to mitigate the risk of data breaches, while developing technical requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, and conducting testing for data protection and cybersecurity solutions. Advise clients on future challenges in cybersecurity, collaborating effectively to strengthen their capabilities. Support clients in implementing data protection measures for data at rest and in motion, including the creation and testing of data loss prevention policies and rules. Contribute to KPMG's thought leadership and stay abreast of industry trends in cyber risk and data protection practices. Assist in managing engagement financials and mentor other team members. Lead client interactions as a technical subject matter expert, demonstrating integrity and professionalism to maintain a respectful workplace culture. Qualifications At least three years of relevant experience in data protection or data loss prevention (DLP). A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred; a minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Proven expertise in three or more areas such as data discovery, classification, tagging, DLP, secure messaging/email encryption, mobile device security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Data Rights Management (DRM). Experience with various Data Loss Prevention and Discovery vendors, including Microsoft AIP/MIP, Zscaler, and BigID. Understanding of Insider Threat programs and User Behavior Analytics. Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements affecting data privacy, including PCI DSS, GLBA, and various Data Privacy Laws. Willingness to travel and excel in a fast-paced environment by quickly adapting to new technologies. Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.
