Job Title: Pediatric Cardiology-Electrophysiology Physician (EP) - San Antonio, TX Division: CHRISTUS Children's Hospital - San Antonio Work Arrangement: Location: San Antonio, TX Salary Range: FLSA Status: Exempt Work Schedule: Baylor College of Medicine and CHRISTUS Children's CHRISTUS Children's, a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children's. Baylor () is recognized as one of the nation's premier academic health science centers and is known for excellence in education, research, and healthcare and community service. Located in the heart of the world's largest medical center (Texas Medical Center), Baylor is affiliated with multiple educational, healthcare and research affiliates (Baylor Affiliates). Summary The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a 0.90 FTE pediatric cardiology electrophysiology faculty position at CHRISTUS Children's. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the department of pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The candidates' credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment. Job Duties Clinical duties include patient care responsibilities and outpatient clinic at CHRISTUS Children's. Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other students in related fields (e.g., nursing students, dietary students, pharmacy students), who observe the physician directly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Minimum Qualifications M.D. degree Related experience required Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same). Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
