Commercial Credit Risk Analyst Community Bank | Confidential Search Position Overview A respected community bank is seeking a skilled Commercial Credit Risk Analyst to lead independent reviews of credit risk across our various commercial loan portfolios. This essential role is vital for sustaining asset quality, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enforcing strong credit governance while collaborating with lending and credit leaders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience evaluating commercial, CRE, and specialty loan portfolios, a deep understanding of regulatory standards, and the ability to effectively communicate findings to senior management and examiners. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, risk-based reviews of commercial, CRE, agricultural, and specialty loan portfolios. Evaluate underwriting quality, credit administration, compliance with policies, and adherence to loan covenants. Validate internal risk ratings and identify emerging credit trends or concentrations. Prepare comprehensive, clear loan review reports that offer actionable recommendations. Monitor and follow up on management's responses and corrective strategies. Support regulatory examinations, serving as a primary liaison for examiners on loan review issues. Collaborate with Credit Administration, Lending, and Risk Management while ensuring independence. Contribute to the annual loan review planning process by defining review scopes and portfolio sampling strategies. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in loan review, credit risk analysis, credit administration, or underwriting. Strong understanding of commercial lending, CRE, and credit policy standards. Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and facilitating safety & soundness assessments. Proficient in analyzing complex credit structures and financial statements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated professionalism, independence, and sound judgment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a community or regional banking environment. Formal credit training or background in regulatory compliance.
