POSITION TITLE Restaurant Operations Manager JOB CODE RORM20 REPORTS TO District Manager EXEMPTION STATUS Exempt DEPARTMENT Restaurant Field Operations POSITION SUMMARY: As a Restaurant Operations Manager, you will be at the helm of a Jack in the Box unit, responsible for driving the success and effectiveness of our daily operations. This role requires strong leadership to execute the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and uphold our Brand Promise, all while developing your team to provide exceptional internal and external service, boost sales and profitability, and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Internal Service: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant employees. You will monitor and manage staffing levels, ensuring a well-trained team that adheres to operational standards and regulatory compliance. Creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued and recognized is crucial. External Service: Lead daily operations to enhance the guest experience. You will ensure your team delivers exceptional service and food quality, addressing any guest concerns efficiently and maintaining the brand's image of cleanliness and service excellence. Sales & Profits: Use management information tools to analyze financial performance and operational efficiency, identifying trends and implementing improvement plans. Focus on maximizing restaurant sales and profitability by understanding the impact of the Service Profit Chain on the overall business. SELECTION SKILLS/QUALITIES: Demonstrates a passion for the business and promotes a culture of integrity, respect, and effective communication. Has a strong background in training, coaching, and employee development, ensuring team performance aligns with business goals. Exhibits a guest-centric approach, valuing the quality of service provided to our customers. Prioritizes food quality and safety, ensuring compliance with health standards and a clean restaurant environment. Possesses excellent organizational skills, able to adapt to shifts in priorities and manage multiple demands effectively. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Internal Promote: Minimum of 1+ years experience as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager; must be certified in all workstations. External Recruit: Minimum of 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be 18 years or older; complete Restaurant Manager training classes and be ServSafe certified. Requires proficient English language skills and excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Must be a self-starter with initiative and personal vehicle for transportation. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 85%-95% of shift; capable of lifting 10-65 lbs; must be able to operate a computer and restaurant equipment.
