Job Description Gpac is partnered with a leading national company seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic team in a USDA food manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on role, responsible for executing preventative and routine maintenance tasks. You will lead your team in troubleshooting issues, repairing production and facility equipment, and ensuring optimal equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot machinery, including breaking down equipment and preparing it for daily production. Conduct regular preventative maintenance, performing daily and weekly inspections on all machinery components. Develop and manage budgets for plant maintenance, including both major and minor line improvements. Schedule, supervise, and provide direction to maintenance staff. Evaluate staff performance and collaborate with the Plant Manager on personnel matters. Handle additional responsibilities and duties as required. Be available for overtime and on-call for emergency situations, including weekend work as necessary. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience in food production or facility maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Proficient in reading schematics. Experience with SQF or other GFSI programs. College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience. A proactive team player with a quick learning ability and openness to change. Advanced mechanical and electrical skills. Ability to work with power tools and handle high and low voltages; must have personal tools. Equipment expertise with Weber Slicers, Thermoformers, Multi-Vac Tray Sealers, Flow wrappers & Labelers, Ink Jet Printers. Capable of reading engineering schematics, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Experience in welding and light carpentry. Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with all personnel levels. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
