Independent Contract Nurse

Job Summary: The Independent Contract Nurse will report to the Branch Manager and play a crucial role in evaluating the competencies of individuals providing Home Health Aide services in Help at Home, LLC's competency lab or in clients' homes. Additionally, you will complete the HHA competency assessment necessary for HHA licensure registry compliance. Please note, this is a contract position, and not a full-time employment role with Help at Home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing services as an independent contractor. Evaluate the competency of individuals delivering home health aide services. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of physicians' orders and HHA Plan of Care. Experience with documentation, Advance Directives, and DNR protocols. Ability to report changes in patient conditions, skin health, and breakdowns. Proficient in reporting changes in body function and pain management. Strong communication skills to relay clinical information to clients, families, and caregivers. Competence in measuring vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respirations. Understanding of infection control and hazardous waste procedures. Ability to recognize emergencies and implement emergency preparedness plans. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Knowledge of basic elements of body functioning and recognition of reportable changes. Skills in grooming, including hair, nail, and skin care. Education and Experience: At least one year of experience in homecare settings. A minimum of two years of nursing experience. Must be a registered nurse.
