Flexible Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities Foster trust and respect among team members to maintain a positive work environment. Create an inviting atmosphere for customers by addressing inquiries about available products and services. Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both verbally and in writing. Utilize your knowledge of pharmaceutical products to provide informed recommendations to patients and healthcare providers. Process verbal prescription orders accurately in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Fill, label, and package prescription orders diligently and accurately. Assess prescription appropriateness for patient safety and legal compliance. Provide comprehensive drug counseling and support to customers and prescribers. Assist with third-party billing and ensure accurate insurance records. Maintain organized records and manage the safe delivery of prescription medications to customers. Communicate with prescribers and healthcare office staff as needed. Effectively use the prescription computer system to enhance workflow. Maintain accurate inventory of controlled substances in accordance with legal standards. Promote immunization services to patients effectively and safely. Participate in clinical activities as trained and authorized. Assist with inventory management and delegate tasks to associates as necessary. File prescription orders and maintain records in compliance with state and federal laws. Resolve customer and personnel issues in the absence of the department manager. Review and interpret departmental reports to optimize operations. Oversee administrative tasks and maintain department functionality when a manager is unavailable. Report incidents, safety risks, and any unlawful activities to management. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Perform all essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Must hold a current Pharmacist license in the relevant state without any stipulations. Must be a graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam. Must have successfully passed the NAPLEX exam. Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
