Part Time CDL Delivery Driver Role

Essential Functions: Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Lowe's policies and procedures. Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs and assist in finding, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading products. Respond knowledgeably to customer inquiries and guide them through their projects as needed. Express genuine appreciation to customers to enhance their shopping experience. Communicate detailed information regarding product availability, special orders, and important features and warranties. Keep customers informed about their delivery status and ensure effective communication during the delivery process. In-stock Management Organize and plan delivery activities, preparing all necessary documentation to ensure timely order delivery. Assemble and secure delivery loads, ensuring safe loading within all regulatory limits. Conduct thorough inspections of products before loading or assisting customers with their loading. Verify accuracy of invoice details against loaded items to ensure precise deliveries. Clean and Safe Store Environment Ensure all delivery loads comply with DOT regulations to maintain safety standards. Update delivery and route statuses for effective tracking of shipments. Unload and install appliances upon delivery, conducting necessary tests afterwards. Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness to ensure proper operation of delivery equipment. Complete reports for DOT compliance to confirm adherence to regulations. Quickly identify and report any signs of theft or security issues. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, following all safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Operate various store equipment as required in this position. Accept additional tasks as needed to support store operations. Minimum Requirements: Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL License, with air brake endorsement, depending on vehicle type. Valid medical certificate or the ability to obtain one upon employment. Ability to pass an MVR screen based on company standards. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required. Must be at least 21 years old. Commitment to adhering to DOT and CDL regulations is essential. Preferences: At least 1 year of experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a reputable driving school is preferred. A minimum of 6 months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service is desirable. At least 3 months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading tasks is preferred.
