Description Conduct thorough evaluations using observational methods and standardized instruments for diverse populations including children, adults, and seniors. Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate challenges and long-term communicative or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, speech fluency, vocal abilities, and swallowing skills. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise comprehensive care strategies. Provide education and resources to patients and families to ensure progress between therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, guaranteeing seamless care throughout each patient's therapeutic journey. Maintain detailed and timely documentation that meets all regulatory standards. Stay informed of the latest advancements through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based approaches across age groups, with a solid grounding in both developmental and acquired challenges in speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Adept at customizing therapeutic techniques to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical skills and the capability to resolve clinical challenges.
