Your role and responsibilities As a Consulting Account Executive (CAE), you will be pivotal in propelling Hakkoda's success by spearheading sales strategies for consulting services. In this role, you'll build, nurture, and expand relationships with our esteemed clients and technology partners across North America. Key Responsibilities: Develop an in-depth understanding of Hakkoda’s services and solutions, particularly in data and analytics, to effectively articulate our value proposition to a wide audience. Proactively enhance your industry knowledge to position yourself strategically within the market, securing meetings and generating revenue. Foster a comprehensive understanding of partner software products and our unique viewpoints, showcasing Hakkoda's market differentiation. Identify target accounts that align with our offerings and analyze clients' buying behaviors to enhance sales strategies. Establish and strengthen relationships with potential clients through various engagement methods including calls and meetings. Manage the sales pipeline meticulously from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring all processes are streamlined. Prepare targeted account strategies to approach qualified sales opportunities effectively. Collaborate closely with relevant Hakkoda teams to pursue and manage opportunities. Leverage relationships with clients and partners for insights and support throughout the sales cycle. Act as the ambassador of Hakkoda in industry meetings and events, expanding our regional presence. Engage regularly with key partners for strategic alignment and market activities. Utilize Hakkoda resources to cultivate a robust pipeline of opportunities. Build and maintain daily relationships with prospects, focusing on sourcing new opportunities and enhancing our services portfolio. Effectively use platforms like Hubspot, LinkedIn, and other tools for research and engagement, ensuring accurate tracking of activities. Become knowledgeable in data and analytics discussions with potential clients. Travel as necessary to attend client meetings, industry events, and partner engagements. Note: As of April 2025, Hakkoda will be integrated into IBM, and your recruitment process will be handled by IBM, which will be the hiring entity. This role is flexible and can be performed from anywhere in the United States. Required Technical and Professional Expertise: 7+ years of direct sales experience in technology products or consulting services, with a proven track record in data, cloud, analytics, or business intelligence. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related analytical field. A strong grasp of the cloud, data, analytics, and BI technology landscape. A genuine passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients and partners. Self-motivated to drive opportunities and close deals effectively. Exceptional critical thinking skills to transform complex client challenges into viable sales opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in presenting to diverse audiences. Adept at working independently with keen organizational and time management skills. Ability to build long-term relationships with client teams across various complexities. Capable of learning and grasping intricate technical concepts quickly. Familiarity with Google Apps, Slack, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Experience with sales/CRM systems, especially Hubspot, and a history of consistently maintaining sales information.
