Apollo Technical has an immediate need for an experienced Safety Coordinator in Houston, Texas! Position Overview: Join a premier industrial manufacturing team dedicated to promoting a world-class safe and healthy work environment. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs, conducting rigorous risk assessments, and fostering a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement across the production facility. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures aligned with OSHA, ISO 45001, and other relevant industrial regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections of manufacturing work areas and equipment to identify, document, and mitigate potential hazards. Lead accident and incident investigations to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Design and deliver high-impact safety training programs for employees on topics including emergency preparedness, PPE usage, and safe industrial work practices. Maintain meticulous records of all safety-related incidents, inspections, and training certifications. Collaborate closely with plant management and shop floor employees to drive a culture of safety excellence. Stay current on evolving safety regulations and best practices, serving as the primary liaison with external safety vendors and regulatory agencies. Provide leadership and guidance to the Safety Technician and other site-level safety personnel. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of professional experience in a Safety Coordination or EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices. Demonstrated ability to conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective action plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be able to read and write in English fluently. Physical ability to frequently stand, walk the production floor, and lift/move materials up to 50 lbs. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple safety priorities in a fast-paced environment. US Citizen or Green Card holder (No H1B or visa sponsorship available). Preferred Qualifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) designation. Experience with ISO 45001 implementation or auditing. Background in fiberglass, chemical, or heavy industrial manufacturing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. Email your resume to Apply
