Job Description

Overview The Fuel and Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering refined fuel and propane products to customers along assigned routes. This role also includes performing various service tasks, such as tank setting, painting, and maintenance as directed. MFA Oil Company is an Equal Opportunity/Drug-Free Employer. Responsibilities Deliver refined fuel products and propane to established customers on daily routes set by the manager. Ensure access to terminal facilities for loading fuel or propane as needed. Operate the delivery vehicle safely, adhering to MFA Oil Company policies, state and federal transportation regulations, and safety protocols. Utilize handheld devices for accurate delivery tracking. Engage safely at customer sites to connect and deliver fuel while ensuring all equipment is secured for transportation. Communicate promptly with management about safety, efficiency, and customer concerns. Inspect customer installations to guarantee safe operations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Represent MFA Oil Company positively in the community and maintain knowledge of company products and services. Support company policies and effectively communicate them to customers. Keep required certifications up-to-date. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Perform service duties such as tank setting, painting, and plant maintenance as assigned. Employees may be required to perform additional duties as necessary. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Willingness to work with hazardous materials. Commitment to obtain propane (CETP) certification as required by state regulations. Valid driver's license. Ability to acquire a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for tanker, HAZMAT, and air brakes within 90 days of employment. Ability to successfully complete MFA Oil Company training and testing for manual and automatic vehicles within 90 days. Capability to drive in various weather and road conditions safely. Physical ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 100 pounds and remain stationary for extended periods. Experience using ladders for fuel delivery. Ability to absorb and understand new information and technical material. Good vision, hearing, and speech capabilities, including odor detection. Ability to communicate effectively with customers in English. Proficiency in using computers and handheld delivery tracking tools. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays. Reliable transportation to work. Legal authorization for employment in the United States. Must be at least 21 years old. Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and company-specific tests. Preferred Skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills. Excellent customer service abilities with a knack for building rapport. Sales experience is a plus.
