Description Join Amazon as a Loss Prevention Intern for a fulfilling 10-week internship in the Summer of 2026. We are seeking motivated college students ready to make a significant impact in our Operations team. As a Loss Prevention Intern, you'll be instrumental in leading security services and asset protection efforts, ensuring safety for people, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property in our fulfillment centers. In this role, you will report to the Loss Prevention Manager and work alongside various cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Audit, and more. You will focus on implementing standardized, cost-effective security measures, with success measured by objectives related to customer service quality, inventory control, employee safety, and overall productivity improvements. Your responsibilities will include: Driving process improvements and promoting best practices in security. Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. Assisting with investigations of theft and fraud. Managing access controls to mitigate unauthorized data access risks. Collaborating with internal customers to evaluate security processes and initiatives. Conducting data analysis to support strategic planning and improvements. As part of your daily work, you will partner with leaders across various operational divisions to enhance security measures and contribute to loss reduction efforts. You will also collaborate with external partners, including law enforcement and security vendors, to maintain a secure business environment. Basic Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027. Studying Criminology, Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, or related fields with an interest in Loss Prevention. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with physical security systems and investigation techniques. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in analyzing data for business solutions.
