Note: A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a fine dining restaurant is required to be considered. REPORTS TO: General Manager Job Summary: The Events and Operations Director plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the RCSH restaurant. This position involves managing front-of-house operations, including bar staff, hosts, and servers, while ensuring exceptional standards of beverage quality and service. The director is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards. In the absence of the General Manager, this role oversees all front-of-house activities. Achieving growth in sales, profitability, and market share is key, driven by our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for both employees and guests. In addition, you will play a significant part in driving new and repeat business for banquets and catering, networking in the community, and hosting private dining events, primarily focused in the evenings and weekends. This role supports event coordination, enhances customer satisfaction, and upholds high operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high service standards. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards as directed by the General Manager. Supervise day-to-day operations to meet RCSH quality and service standards during all shifts. Coach team members while managing performance documentation and clarity of expectations. Enhance restaurant sales by ensuring uncompromising food and service quality. Conduct initial interviews and recommend staff hires to the General Manager and Chef. Provide orientation and training for new hires based on RCSH training systems and manuals. Create weekly work schedules to align staffing with business demands. Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and side work duties in line with operational standards. Communicate proactively with management to share important information regarding restaurant operations. Maintain knowledge of safety, health, and sanitation standards; ensure team adherence to guidelines. Engage with guests on the restaurant floor to ensure satisfaction. Address and resolve customer complaints professionally. Develop strategies to improve guest experiences and build loyalty. Perform closing duties necessary to secure the restaurant. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Event Coordination: Support the General Manager in planning and executing events, including private parties and corporate gatherings. Collaborate with clients to understand event needs and ensure expectations are met. Work with kitchen and service staff for seamless event delivery. Assist in managing event budgets, timelines, and logistics. Utilize Tripleseat templates and contracts to confirm event details with clients. Follow up post-event to ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate event details clearly to local management teams. Maintain records of guest interactions and transactions in reservation systems. Generate reports within event booking management software as needed. Assist in coordinating private dining menu requests. Serve as backup for Regional Sales Manager as needed. Manage upcoming private dining bookings and pipeline inquiries. Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to generate new business and maintain relationships with current accounts. Assist in event organization and execution, delegating responsibilities to the restaurant team. Administrative duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management and event coordination. Proven ability to effectively manage operations and lead a team. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
