Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a DC Power Technician, where you will play a crucial role in the installation and testing of various subsystems within our AllCom Global Services projects. We are looking for an experienced technician with a deep understanding of system design, industry standards, and installation methodologies in data enterprise and telecommunication environments. This is a travel-intensive position that requires a valid DoD Security Clearance. Key Responsibilities: Installation and secondary distribution of DC and AC Power Systems including Rectifiers and Power Boards (Vertiv, Benning). Commissioning and testing of Inverter plants and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems. Adhere to grounding installation requirements and standards. Support inside plant infrastructure for common system functionality (cabling, racking, power). Conduct site surveys and prepare for installation, including transport equipment installation and commissioning. Install data switches and enterprise systems along with voice switch configurations. Develop detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs). Demonstrate extensive knowledge of industry standards for Data and Telecommunication environments. Perform System Acceptance Testing (SAT) effectively. Install, commission, and test -48V VRLA battery systems from manufacturers such as EnerSys, GNB, and C&D. Handle DC power board installations, including alarm notifications, from brands like Emerson/Liebert, Benning, Lucent, and Alpha Technologies. Oversee installation and commissioning of Inverter systems, ensuring alarm notifications are in place. Exhibit knowledge of proper lacing techniques. Uphold AllCom's Core Values of Honesty, Integrity, Quality, and Performance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with using laptops for testing, equipment configurations, and commissioning. Skilled with basic hand tools and crimpers for power board, inverter, and DC circuit installations. Experienced in using test equipment for fiber, copper, and power equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong time management skills are essential. Able to read and interpret engineered drawing packages. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise installation team members at various levels. Proficient in resolving conflicts between engineering design and physical site conditions. Provide technical expertise and support to customers and engineering teams. Conduct and enforce safety requirements at all job sites. Willingness to travel extensively, 100% of the time. Must possess an active Department of Defense Clearance. Education and Experience Requirements: Ability to secure and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance. Pass pre-employment testing (drug screening and background check) and possess a valid driver's license. 5-10 years of documented experience in data and telecommunication installations.
