Position Summary: The Project Manager (PM) plays a crucial role in overseeing and delivering water/wastewater projects that meet both client contracts and the high standards expected by PEC. In this vital position, you will manage project scope, schedules, costs, and risks while ensuring client satisfaction and open communication with all stakeholders. Your expertise will help ensure that deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget. Duties and Responsibilities: Make informed business decisions throughout the project lifecycle, from opportunity identification to completion, with minimal oversight. Proactively address and resolve discrepancies between client expectations and the contracted scope. Oversee the project scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of all projects. Lead project teams during the pre-contract phase, collaborating with team members to develop fee proposals and establish project budgets, as well as preparing contracts as needed. Assemble effective project teams with the approval of the respective supervisors. Coordinate the workflow for all project disciplines to ensure seamless project execution. Manage resource allocation effectively to maximize project outcomes. Provide clear direction to the project team to keep tasks on schedule. Regularly update project timelines and schedules, communicating project progress to the team and stakeholders. Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes, conducting and documenting necessary practices. Identify various types of risks (client service, contract, technical, staffing) and communicate risk management strategies both internally and with clients effectively. Guide project teams in forecasting estimates to complete and evaluating work progress. Communicate clearly and effectively with the project team, Market VP, and internal stakeholders to achieve project goals and meet PEC’s standards. Maintain effective communication management strategies with clients. Follow all adopted business practices and quality procedures diligently. Represent PEC professionally, strategically, and courteously. Additional assignments and responsibilities may be assigned at the company’s discretion. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of consulting design and construction standards and practices. Strong proficiency with project management tools, including scheduling software such as Microsoft Project. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Familiarity with CADD and REVIT software applications and processes. Experience working in collaborative environments, particularly using Microsoft Teams. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. Adept at working independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide team members and build effective working relationships. Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, prioritizing, coordinating, training, and evaluating the work of project teams. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an ABET Accredited University is required. At least two (2) years of experience as a discipline/task lead. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Project Management or a related field is preferred. Five (5) years of experience in Engineering Design is preferred. License and Certification: Licensure by the applicable State Board of Technical Professions is preferred. Manual dexterity and coordination are essential, as over 50% of the work period involves operating office equipment such as computers and calculators.
