Facility Maintenance Grounds Tech

JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment inside and outside the facility. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the job site is professionally maintained and safe at all times. Minor scheduled preventive maintenance on lawn care equipment Ability to maintain grounds by trimming, de-weeding, and general clean-up. Must perform planting, mulching, and edging of lawns. Properly operate company equipment (Pallet Jack, forklift, etc.) to safely complete essential task Remove weeds and debris from pathways and flower beds. Trim hedges, bushes, and shrubs as needed or on a monthly cycle. Ensure that all work areas and equipment are free of obstructions and debris. Must have high awareness and strong commitment to professionalism and safety. Remove and dispose of debris from work sites and keep areas and equipment well- organized. Be accountable and responsible for the proper use and care of company equipment. All other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Dependability, Detail- & Deadline-Oriented, Time Management Skills, Safety Awareness Always maintains professionalism and a positive attitude. Career driven with a desire to grow with the company. A good team player with the ability to take direction and follow through on tasks. Strong attention to detail Maintain confidentiality as required. Preferred Qualifications: Functional knowledge of various commercial lawn care equipment Edger Hedge trimmers Pole trimmers Chain saw Brush cutter Grass trimmers Ability to safely operate a commercial zero turn mowers WORKING CONDITIONS The job requires a person to work in conditions that include extreme heat and cold; a high noise level, which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs; heights; and dealing with chemicals. Hours may vary based on business needs, including working regular shifts as outlined and/or occasional weekends, or overtime, if needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Team members are constantly standing, walking, carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, seeing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, hearing, as well as operating machinery. Team members will be lifting/maneuvering objects weighing 50 lbs. or less regularly. DIRECT REPORTS Not Applicable. Must be at least 18 years old.
